Arts Centre: work in progress

Work in progress. First sketch scheme for a new arts facility for the South Lancashire Arts Partnership. The scheme shows new buildings added to the existing chapel to form a new entrance and workshop facilities. The proposal reinforces the corner of the site and defines a new courtyard for workshop activities and performance.

St Christopher’s Parish Centre, Blackpool

The new Parish Centre at St. Christopher’s Church, Marton, Blackpool is connected to the main axis of the church (also by this practice). The centre consists of a multi-purpose hall, a lounge, a fully equipped stage, dressing rooms and a kitchen capable of catering for small conferences. It was completed in May 2001 and dedicated by the Archbishop of York.

The New Presbytery & Meeting Room at The Willows, Kirkham, Lancashire. A new building of roughcast masonry with a Cumbrian slate roof adjacent to A.W.N.Pugin’s Church of St.John the Evangelist. Completed in 1994.
St George, Preston

A new stone-built hall for parish and community use completed in 1999. The building was part of a scheme for the restoration and extension of St George’s Church in the centre of Preston. The church now has the facilities to act as an arts and cultural centre as well as a parish church.
