Whiteley Village, Surrey: New Almshouses

Client: Whiteley Homes Trust

Sixty-two new almshouses arranged over one and two storeys around a woodland axis on the eastern side of Octagon Road, Whiteley Village.

The buildings are marked in purple on the plan.

Selected as architect for the extension of Whiteley Village in Surrey, we are working with Levitt Bernstein Architects to develop a master plan and proposals for new almshouses, a care home, care hub and the conversion of historic buildings at this self-contained village for elderly people. The original village consists of over one hundred listed buildings designed in the Arts & Crafts style. All three schemes were submitted for planning consent in October 2016. Our client is the Whiteley Homes Trust.
