A New Care Hub at Whiteley Village, Surrey

Client: Whiteley Homes Trust

Planning consent: 2017

Completion: Summer 2019

The new Care Hub building at Whiteley Village will contain residential care suites, consulting rooms, offices, and a café for use by all the residents of the village. The building is arranged around a garden courtyard. The care suites have bay windows with views over the adjacent Village playing fields. Planning consent was granted in May 2017.

Selected as architect for the extension of Whiteley Village in Surrey, we have worked with Levitt Bernstein Architects to develop a master plan and proposals for new almshouses, a care home, care hub and the conversion of historic buildings at this self-contained village for elderly people. The original village consists of over one hundred listed buildings designed in the Arts & Crafts style. All three schemes were submitted for planning consent in October 2016. Our client is the Whiteley Homes Trust.

The Care Hub was completed in Summer 2019.
